As a side note, that repurposed chest of drawers / planter was one of the best βPinspirationsβ ever. Just look at all those happy flowers. The key to keeping it around for more than a year? Yacht varnish. It required yearly coats with tons of that sticky - horrible to work with but necessary - stuff. Living in Scotland, all painted wooden projects meant to live outside require MEGA protection from the elements.
