CONFIDENCE, AND FEAR, AND SELF ACCEPTANCE. AND ALSO, YOU GOT THIS.

I don't think I'm alone in feeling that it's a constant dance between these two polar opposites, with Confidence leading occasionally, but most often Fear steals the lead.

In the past, I have sincerely wished that Confidence would toss Fear to the ground and do a fabulous solo. However, over the last little chunk of time, I've been looking for ways to befriend the fearful one. To find ways to live with her, accept her, and do the scary stuff despite her presence. She is a part of me and my life, only now I just make her come along for the ride, rather than letting her talk me into staying away from the stuff I'm afraid to do.

WONDER WOMAN POWER POSE, ROCK THROWING, AND LETTING GO.

OK, let’s begin with Wonder Woman. I love this character, and I have been drawing upon her strength lately. I like all the various versions of her, but for the sake of the post, and also because she's my fave, I wanted to show Lynda Carter's old school depiction, standing in all her BADASS glory.

KOMBUCHA: GET IT. DRINK IT. BREW IT. SPRAY IT ON YOUR FACE.

Now before we get started below, please do enjoy some slightly informational entertainment about today's subject. LOL. These are both parody videos; I do love a good parody and this time I found two. I decided to add them both because they each made me laugh and they remind me of my peeps back home in LA and San Diego. Also, each video, even though they are total parodies, still throws out some good info. Pick a video, any video.

DO THESE TWO "CHILDISH" EXERCISES POST HASTE: ALL ABOUT THE HULA HOOP & TRAMPOLINE

So this week the weather here in my neck of the woods has gone back to being completely bipolar, with splashes of sun mingled in with all this Noah's Ark rain and wind and chaos. With all the weather nonsense, walks in natural surroundings I was happily blogging about a few weeks ago aren't as accessible as I want them to be, so they quite simply aren’t happening every day. Also, the regular yoga has taken more of a back seat at the moment as I want to get more active and move around more right now. I think that’s part of the whole fit thing, going with YOUR own flow and doing what feels right for YOU on any given day. This is me lately. And I feel like Hula Hooping and jumping on my Mini Trampoline :)

GETTING COLOURFUL & CREATIVE. TAP INTO YOUR CREATIVITY.

In my angsty teen years I would often paint my “blue periods” (Thank you for that term Picasso - so accurate). But later on I began to paint more and more of what I want to see in my life, not just whatever sh*t I was thinking or feeling at that time. Almost painting like a vision board. I have been getting back to this lately. Painting what I want to see.

A COUPLE OF WAYS TO THINK OF YOUR SKIN - AND CARE FOR IT.

This week I’m feeling somewhat sassy - maybe a dash of dark and dramatic - Courtney Love vibe, and she (and Hole) just so happen to have a classic from back in the day called “Celebrity Skin”.  Even though the song itself is not exactly about taking care of your skin, I’m just going to go with it and throw it in.  Also - twas a “Black Supermoon” last night, and that seems very Courtney-esque to me? Right? Okay, enjoy and then we talk about skin and such.

WALKING OUTSIDE: BRINGING BACK THIS HABIT HAS HELPED THE OL’ BRAIN & HAPPILY – THE BUNS.

Walking. Over the years this simple exercise has helped me feel like a God-honest better human being whenever I incorporate it into my regular routine. The simple act of putting on a pair of walking shoes and leaving the safe haven of my house, of stepping into the great big natural world outside has made my head space, and a happy bonus, gotten my buns in a much better state.
