The “Beasties” in Scotland remind me a bit of the mosquitos back in California, although I now tend to think the Scottish Midge & Clegg are far more insidious.

The microscopic midge comes in masses of millions waiting to descend and bite. The Clegg comes few but far between, but with razor like attachments on their faces, which are then used to slice, making it easy access to your blood. It's just awful,usually causing extreme swelling and the need for antibiotics. Not a day in the park in my humble opinion.

After trying many popular but smelly, breakout causing repellants on the market, I opted to create my own Beastie Mist and Beastie Balm.
